Writer's Workshop

I am very excited to embark upon this journey with you guys!  We are in a new era of learning and I promise to be with you every step of the way.  This is teaching year 15 for me, and this is my fifth year as an Astro.  I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi and I completed my Alternate Route Certification at William Carey University, where I also obtained my Master's Degree in Secondary Education.

My philosophy of education is that every student can learn as long as their learning style and multiple intelligence is discovered.  It may take different methods than average to reach each child, but it is my goal to understand each of my students so that I can differentiate my lessons to reach every individual learner.

"FOR EVERY ONE OF US THAT SUCCEEDS, IT'S BECAUSE THERE'S SOMEBODY THERE TO SHOW YOU THE WAY OUT.  THE LIGHT DOESN'T ALWAYS NECESSARILY HAVE TO BE IN YOUR FAMILY; FOR ME IT WAS TEACHERS AND SCHOOL." -OPRAH WINFREY
